Sounds awesome, and stories my grandmother told me came to mind. Like the time she was way pregnant and trained to Bawston to get my grandfather some booze. And she had the bottles hidden in pockets sewn inside her dress, And a 'gallant' policeman wanted to accompany her home in her 'state', and all she could hear was 'glugg glugg glugg' She died a thousand deaths in that short walk home. And there was the bathtub gin, and kids selling it strolling their dolls in baby carriages, and hawking their goods. Weird time. I'd enjoy seeing the documentary on this.
The director seems very competent.
