After having my usual depression after going to Gamlitz, ruminating on how things in the world seem to be going. Enough to depress me even more. Rachel Maddow and team got into hot water with their Thursday night show. Let's see, the blow-out preventors in the drilling stations in the Gulf.... don't ever work, faulty design. Now big dead zones there as a result of the plumes... How encouraging. But new licences are being given out anyway, and the Department of the Interior got on their case, they were very angry. But they said they'd keep reporting anyway... Which is good.
And then Fukushima Daiichi... have to say, the people working to control that plant are very brave.... or suicidal. They seem to have provided some control over the nuclear disaster so far, but looks like they are losing the battle to me... radiation in the drinking water, food, etc.
Yes, depressing.
