Went out last night....

And saw this today on the sidewalk outside my house near the bus stop. It was like a story, ya know??? Guy is waiting for a date. She is late. He is holding a perfect rose. He decides to give her one last chance, and smokes a cigarette. She does not arrive. So he rips up the ticket he paid half a week's pay for, drops everything and leaves. Hopes turned to ashes, in other words, and he wonders if he were a nerd.... Sad.
