Fashion contrasts....

Sunday was fun.... more or less... I had overlooked the fact that there was a big party in town. I had thought it was next weekend....

When I first arrived here, people, about forty per cent at my estimate, used to dress up in national tradtional clothes every day. That disappeared in the 80's. So now, there is one day a year when everyone dresses in traditional clothing, and get rowdy downtown. No, the kayaks have nothing to do with it. They were out in bad weather, showing off.


















The couple on the stage were part of a fashion show and just celebrated their 20th anniversary. The rest was sort of odd. Especially if you aren't dressed like everyone else.... And then it rained, so I went home and didnt party...
