I don't understand SHIT about world economics, because the US conveniently removed that from the curriculum when I got to school in the Fifties. Because the Russians were gonna invade and put our parents into internment camps, and 're-educate' them. Uh-huh. I later found the source she had.... Reader's Digest. And of course we LOVED it. Boring topic? 'Hey, tell us about the Russians....'

I have a cousin who went to a private school, and economics was on the schedule.

I tried to educate myself later. I did. I still don't understand it.

You trust some stranger to put your hard-earned money or inheritance into some sort of 'investment' with a chance of a quick gain, and then you get 'OOPsie Made a mistake, and you don't get doodly squat, because I am ollly olly home free...' Right. And there is nothing you can do about it.

If people are so light-headed as to trust their money to people they do not know, and expect a fortune, well, darlin's, I can just as well go to the local casino, and play red-black all night. At least I get a fifty-fifty chance. Which I do not do either.

And the skeery thing about it? The local news stations carry advertising which come down to 'invest, invest, INVEST'. Right. Throw good money after bad....

All in all, fairly creepy. Thanks to Dumbya, and McCain, who rescinded oversight, but hey, he got himself a super-rich if drug-addled wife.

Isn't life just grand... I hope they lose 11 of their 12 houses so that he has to LOOK at her every day...
